Meet Dr. Dahlia Distin
Dr. Dahlia Distin, DNP, PMHNP, APRN, BC has a diverse background, originating from Jamaica and growing up in South Central Los Angeles before moving to Little Rock over 20 years ago. Her journey into healthcare began at 18, working in a mental health facility in Culver City, California, which ignited her passion for psychiatric nursing. She started her formal nursing education in Los Angeles and completed her RN diploma at the Baptist School of Allied Nursing in 1995. Dr. Distin achieved her Bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where she also completed her Master’s degree in psychiatric mental health nursing, graduating with honors and becoming a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner.
Driven to further her impact, Dr. Distin founded Distin Psychiatric and Psychiatric Services PLLC and acquired Arkansas Adult Psychotherapy PLLC, in North Little Rock, providing mental health services to the local community. Recognizing the growing need for mental health support, especially during the COVID pandemic, she pursued further education at Aspen University, graduating in 2023 with honors and a 3.58 GPA, and was recognized by the National Leadership of Society.
With 37 years of experience in psychiatric care, Dr. Distin not only dedicates herself to patient care but also to educating the next generation of psychiatric mental health nurses through preceptorship. Her career reflects a deep commitment to both the practice and advancement of psychiatric nursing.
Meet Our Staff
Dr. Marion Stowers
Board certified psychiatrist Dr Stowers has over 30 plus years in psychiatry. He has worked in many capacities across his lifespan however his current focus is on helping to curtail the opioid epidemic and treatment of SUDs. Dr. Stowers also treats various adolescents and adults with ADHD and ADD disorders
Natasha Stewart
Meet Natasha Stewart our Office Coordinator who has years of experience as a MA, and your first point of contact. She will guide you through the intake process, scheduling an appointment and helpful with answering questions you may have regarding insurance that we are currently accepting .
Shamona Starks
Meet Shamona Starks Office Clerk and Insurance Verification Personnel. Shamona has completed her Billing and Coding courses at Devry University Online Program in 2023, and is currently enrolled at the University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College Allied Health Program with an emphasis in nursing.
Board Certified Social Worker
Also, on board we have a contract Licensed Certified Social Worker
with over 24 years of experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults. Our therapist specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy to combat anxiety, PTSD, Depression, relationships, grief therapy and other disorders
Marketing Systems Provider
Joe Gallien is the founder of NFLM Media, where he combines his expertise in digital marketing with a deep understanding of psychological and behavioral principles to enhance business performance. Joe crafts bespoke digital solutions that resonate on a human level, fostering engagement and growth.
